Re-designated as Royal Horse Artillery in support of 7th Parachute Regiment. Date 1992.

266 Gloucestershire Volunteer Artillery Para Battery was the UK's only Territorial Army airborne artillery battery. In time of war their role is to parachute into enemy territory and to support the infantry Parachute Regiment. They are specialists in the use of the 105mm Light Gun . The battery is currently re-rolling to a commando battery and is based in Bristol.
